Things that are awesome
- Pushing Daisies. Its so flamboyant and camp but full of cleavage and great writing and oh man it's the best thing on TV.
- The Orange Box and Call Of Duty 4. Both containing far more enjoyment and originality than Halo 3.
- New Futurama. It's back and still awesome, what more needs to be said.
- Warhammer Online.
- Leon beer.
- The temperature being a cool 20 degrees in late November.
Things that suck
- My Xbox dieing yet again. Why is it so hard to make this thing reliable, i mean really now.
- The writers strike.
- Buggy PC games. Hellgate is completely unfun in its current state and The Witcher refuses to play for more than 10 minutes before crashing.
- Why do i always resubscribe to WoW when i know i'll grow bored of it after a few days. The new expansion needs to hurry up and get here.
- The Maple Leafs. Fuckin Toronto, get your act together and start winning :(

10:21 pm - Oh god the pain

I''ve never ever ever ever been burned by the sun before. Ever.
Until now.
I spent a little too long outside on Friday and i've managed to burn the fuck out of my arms and back. Of all the stupid shit i've done to myself over the years i think is strangely the most painful.
Another victim of heat, my poor lil xbox 360, died for the 2nd last week giving the dreaded 3 rings of death. Since i solved the first death with the towel trick I didnt want to risk doing it all over again, and likely continuing to do so once every few months. So i've spent the majority of this afternoon dismantling the thing and removing the terrible x-clamps that Microsoft used to keep the heatsinks secure and cleaning/applying some thermal compound to the CPU and GPU. Just 96 cents worth of materials and a little patience is enough to solve the majority of xboxes suffering from the 3 red rings of death, I really dont know why Microsoft don't do something similar to their own consoles instead of ignoring the problem and even denying that such a problem exists.

I just finished watching the final 2 episodes of Veronica Mars that aired a few nights ago and man, i forgot how good it could be when its at its best. If only the rest of the season was written as well as those 2 episodes were it wouldnt be facing cancellation right now.
Oh shit i've run out of good tv to watch. What am i going to do until winter :(

Its the end of tv season and i've been watching a boat load of stuff this past week
- 24. A terrible ending to a terrible season. Please get canceled. Pleeeeeeease.
- Heroes. Surprisingly disappointing compared to previous episodes, they totally blew their load too early. That doesn't mean it was a terrific season though and I can't wait to see more.
- Lost. So freaking awesome. The wait until new episodes air is going to kill me
- The Office. Also incredibly awesome. The Boobs. The Hair. The Date. Oh god i need more.
- Veronica Mars. What happened to you, you started off so good and now you're just full of stupid drama and sub standard writing. RIP.
- Apparently i've fallen in love with using bullet points. I'm not really sure why.

Guess I haven't updated this thing in a while huh. I can't even remember what the hell I was referring to in the last entry I made. Strange that.
So, I finally left the UK since I last updated. I'm now living in Cyprus and well, its pretty big step up from smelly old Stoke. Let's see what else is there to write about since I my last entry...
- I've realised how fracking awesome Battlestar Galactica and The Office (US) is.
- Got a new car (although its still small and blue. Much like my.. y'know how that ends)
- My xbox spent a month sitting under my bed thanks to the red ring of death, but is now living on in a zombified state thanks to the very random towel trick (best repair solution ever).
- Got my warlock up to level 70 and after making the tailored cloth set realising that i have no other reason to play.
- Started a million alts before settling on yet another Rogue, this time on horde side. (Gotta love those belfs. Also the word belf makes me chuckle.)
- Somehow my most favourite retro game ever gets released with art by Wil fuckin Overton. How crazy is that. (I've only just got around to playing it thanks to the zombie xbox)
- Became hopelessly addicted to Heroes.
- Spent way too much money on a new cell phone (K800i. I fell in love with the camera, what can i say)
- Other boring and/or explicit events that I'm too lazy to mention.
Maybe i'll actually keep updating this thing from now on. Or not. Iono.

Well, the last week or two have certainly been interesting. Things didn't go the way i wanted them too (do they ever?) and i've heard a few things that i never thought i'd hear in a million years. But y'know what, i'm not gonna let this shit drag me down again. This year hasn't been particularly good to me but its finally making my brain realize something, life is far too short be unhappy about how things turn out.
And as always, whenever i need someone i can always count on a certain somebody being there for me. Mucho love.

5:15 am - Woah, yet another update
|
So.
My cast has to stay on for another fucking week, its going to drive me crazy before it comes off. But on the brightside, i dropped into work on the way back from my hospital appointment and had a chat with my boss. Theyre keeping my job open for me and giving me sick pay for this week :D
Thats a huge weight off my mind and it gives me enough cash to pay off my bills this month and still have a little bit left over, which hasnt happened in a long time. The guys n gals at OC are rawesome, for once in my life i can't wait to get back to work.

On thursday i started work at Overclockers and all was well. Easily the best job i've ever had.
On friday morning i fell while reaching for something and it's look like i've broken my wrist :(
I won't know for sure until monday or maybe later in the week, i've gotta see a fracture guy on monday morning but it might not be possible to see how much damage was done until 7-10 days after the accident. So after having worked for a day and a half, i'm off sick with no way of currently knowing how long i'll be out of commision.
They put my arm in a temp cast for the weekend which is makings things incredibly difficult, i can't play WoW or anything else and theres not much else around here to distract me. Theres gotta be more one handed activities i can do to amuse myself this weekend (and no, *that* activity is out of the question for reasons i won't go into :x)

Today has gotta be the dullest day ever. I'm waiting to hear back about job that i applied to last week and i'm trying to catch up with my studying thats been slightly neglected these last few weeks but man, i need to find something to do with all this sparetime that i have right now. I think i'm gonna get serious about exercising this week, i've lost a bit of weight since christmas so i just need to start being more active to get myself fitter.
And i'm really really really sorry for ditching you on sunday, i wasn't thinking. But when do i ever :/

I've been told i need to update this, so um. Here it is.
I'm still unemployed, the job market is really really shitty around here right now. I've still got enough money left to pay my bills for another few months though, so i SHOULD be ok. When things start getting tight i'll just have to take some crappy little job to fill in until i can get something more permanent. Of course things havent been helped by Royal Mail demanding that i pay them back for using up a years worth of vacation days in the 9 months i was employed for under this years contract. Assholes.
My teeth are making good progress, so its not all bad news. I've been to the dentist far too often in the last month but its paying off. With any luck this time next year they'll be almost perfect.
And i'm still playing far too much of WoW. Damn Blizzard for making such addicting games.

6:16 am - First update of the year, whoo!

We're two weeks into the new year and things are already pretty different around here. My last day at work was the night before New Year's Eve and was very very uneventful, nobody said a word to me. Literally. I'm so glad i don't have to go back to that soul sucking job.
One thing i really dislike in people is how they can be two faced and hypocritical and i guess i've been like that in the past at certain times. New Years was very meh. It probably didn't help that i had a killer headache for most of the time but things weren't entirely great. Being asked by somebody why i look like their son has gotta be the stupidest damn question i've ever been asked, which takes some doing. I ended up leaving a day earlier than i had intended but i couldn't take any more. Sorry :/
Things didn't get much better when i got home, while i was away my brother had noticed that my dog had a large growth next to one of his legs. Of course with this being the start of the new year everyone was closed for the next few days, including the vet. He had no idea what it was and seemed slightly worried at first, but after giving him some antibiotics for a week its gotten a lot smaller. The lil' guy seems to be doing much better now, i really hope he stays that way.
And possibly the biggest news of the year so far, i'm getting my crappy british teeth fixed! Last week i had two upper teeth removed and given a retainer style brace to wear. Getting teeth pulled out of your head is a lot less painful than i had thought, even though i was loaded up with some awesome painkillers there was very little pain after they had worn off. I was almost disappointed. It's taking a while to get my speech back to normal, i guess it just takes some practice though. An awesome side effect of having this dental work done is that i'm finally losing weight, yay! Because i have to wash my retainer and rinse my mouth out after eating i've totally stopped snacking during the day. Its kinda sad that its taken something as extreme as having a few teeth yanked out to make me finally lose weight, but hey, whatever works.

So i finally quit my job. Yup. As of the end of next week, also being the end of the year, i will be unemployed. Hooray! I know the smart thing to do would have been to find an actual job first but i couldn't take the BS from that place a moment longer. Any and all job offers are welcome.
In other news: I love my DS. I love WoW. I love my best friend (despite the lack of any cards/presents/potential phone calls/spankings) <3

Blah. That pretty much sums up my mood lately. Work is driving me insane and i really don't think i'm gonna be staying there for much longer, a change of job is way overdue for me. There's been so much BS from that place recently that i really can't stomach it anymore, i really need to start putting some effort into job searching. I let work stuff affect me a lot more than it should, especially considering how little time i actually spend there, but i know i've taken out my frustrations on a few people around me which makes me feel much worse about the whole thing.
It's finally time for a fresh start, i really need to get my ass into gear and get this crappy part of my life over with. Maybe i'll look into getting a job in a new town. Hmm....
P.S. WoW is eating my soul. Please send help.

I take back what i said about Halo 2, overall it's very "meh".
For some reason i've been very sleepy this weekend and for once i've been going to bed at a normal time for somebody living in my timezone. Maybe its just the cold weather that's making me feel like sleeping, usually i do everything i can to avoid sleeping. Its a strange thing, i know, but i always feel like doing something useful or entertaining rather than just waste it on sleeping. There's gonna be plenty of time for that when i'm dead.
World of Warcraft finally hits retail this week, i really can't wait to get my hands on the final thing. Much <3 to Mez for helping me out with getting a copy.
